As Colors of Connection kicks off it’s partnership with the University of Georgia, we are proud to present a weekend celebrating art and community in Athens!

The highlights:

Watch beyond the Wall’s at 5pm Saturday May 16th at Ciné                          The film explores how communities express their lived experiences as depicted in murals in Northern Ireland, the West Bank, Liberia, El Salvador, Argentina, Australia, and the United States. Local activists, artists and community participants expand on the issues and conflicts in these areas. During the film, we come to understand how community murals are created and the purposes they serve, both past and present. Colors of Connection’s project in Liberia is featured.

Live Chalk Art 11am – 3pm Sunday May 17th along Foundry Street  Participate by signing up at: or come and watch as groups of artists create works of art during the Sunday Center Market Grand Opening.

Expect the the energy and connection fostered by arts and community to be in full force!

This partnership is the legacy of our former mentor, hero and board member Nancy Rothenberg, who is greatly missed.  She would be proud to see this collaboration coming to fruition.
