Murals

Market Mural Time-lapse, Visions of Hope Project, Harper, Liberia 2011

The public murals created during our projects are a platform for the youth and local leaders that we work with to express their ideas and hopes for themselves and the larger community. The murals portray important messages formulated by the Community Arts Council and the youth participants intended to spark new ways of thinking in the broader community.

“We take something that exists within all of us at our very fundamental core, our emotions, and through our artistic lens, through our creativity, we’re able to shape those emotions into reality. And the reality of that expression reaches all of us and moves us, inspires and unites us.”

– Robert Gupta, violinist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra.
